What we get asked about hoists & motors
Do chain hoists need inspection?
Yes. An entertainment hoist is inspected periodically and after any incident: brake, chain, hooks, limit switches. Slings and shackles follow the same regime, and a sling whose tag is unreadable is taken out of service. It is a safety requirement before it is a compliance one, because these parts work above people.
