An announcement needs clean audio for the press, an official image and often a live feed, in a room not built for any of it. All three get solved together, on a build ready well before the announced hour.

A public incident cannot be recovered. A technical presence from build to end, with someone watching the output rather than the room, is the cheapest item to avoid the most expensive one.

A controlled background rather than a large screen, because that is what the camera takes away. Local recording in addition to the stream, so an official version exists whatever the link does.
