Ingress protection, temperature range, brightness that holds in direct sun. The initial premium is repaid at the first avoided trip.

AV integration
A network of sites needs a repeatable standard install, not a project per station. What is designed once and then deployed also deploys faster, which matters when every site is a call-out with controlled access.
Sentinel
Across distributed sites the failure is not the problem: it is the time during which nobody knows which one went down. Supervision turns a passenger complaint into an alert received before rush hour.
On-site service
A call-out two hours away is not decided lightly. An agreement covering travel, with parts already identified, stops a screen staying dark for weeks for want of a travel budget.
What a transport site needs

Directional coverage tuned to stay intelligible in a reverberant volume with constant background noise. Safety announcements have their own path, independent of the rest.
One supervised link per site, with a degraded mode that keeps showing the essentials when the link drops. An empty screen is worth less than one showing the last known information.
Enclosures, glazing and fixings designed for a public space with no permanent supervision. What is reachable is protected, and maintenance access is from the rear rather than the face.
